Our Lady of Zyrowicka (painting), graphic artist, Boczkowska, Maria Celestyna (1840-1931). Madonna and Child, pear trees, prayer, shepherds. In the Basilian monastery complex, in the largest monastery church, the Uspensky Cathedral, there is a small miraculous image of Our Lady of Zyrowicka in the form of an oval bas-relief, found, according to tradition, in 1470 by two shepherds on a pear tree in the local estates of Treasurer Aleksander Soltan. The image, famous for its graces, venerated by Orthodox, Roman Catholics and Uniates, became the destination of numerous pilgrimages and in 1730 it was solemnly crowned with the papal crown by the Uniate bishop Atanazy Szeptycki. The engraving shows the moment of finding the image, and the image of the Virgin Mary was made according to a painting in the former Basilian Orthodox church in Zyrowice. Date: 1750–1800. Technique: graphic print, album.
