Crown Double Augustus, Croll, Ernest Dietrich (fl. 1753–1763), Augustus III Sas (King of Poland; 1733–1763; Elector of Saxony; 1696–1763). Thaler, 1756. Obverse: bust of the king turned right, in a crown, wig and mantle, with the Order of the Golden Fleece on his chest, divided at the bottom by rim inscription: DGAVGVSTVS.III.REX.POLONIARUM. Reverse: under the crown a round, five-field shield with the coat of arms of Poland, Lithuania and Saxony; on the sides two palm leaves; at the bottom 10.TH., with E - C on the sides. Inscription around the rim: SAC.ROM.IMP.ARCHIM.ET ELECT.1756. Edge decorated with notches. Weight 13.32 g.
