A road or pathway with metal railings runs through the middle foreground, curving slightly and casting shadows. Buildings with ornate facades and a domed structure appear behind the ruins on the left, and more ruins and distant buildings extend into the background on the right. The ground and stone surfaces are shades of beige and tan, the columns and buildings are light beige, the railings and shadows are darker brown or gray, and the overall image has a warm sepia tone. A few piles of broken stones and architectural fragments lie in the foreground.
