His dark garment is decorated with an elaborate chain or collar of office with several decorative medallions and geometric links, and a cloak drapes over one shoulder. The background inside the arch is shaded and textured, with a hanging tassel visible near the top. The surrounding border is architectural with carved moldings and bead-like ornamentation. Visible colors are shades of black, gray, and off-white.
