Subjects: militaria, hussars, banners., The image shows a vertical arrangement of several hand-drawn and colored flags and flagpoles on a beige paper background. At the top is a horizontally oriented ribbon-like flag with alternating dark pink and off-white sections and a central geometric star-shaped motif in dark pink and off-white. Below that is a curled ribbon in off-white and dark pink twisting vertically. Further down is a rectangular flag depicted on a pole, with a dark pink field and an off-white star-like emblem, and a small figurative detail in the center of the emblem rendered in blue and yellow; the pole has a gold finial. To the right of the flags there is a long painted pole segment in red with gold decorative bands and an ornate spherical gold and red ornament toward the lower section; a spearhead in gray and metallic tones appears at the very top of the pole. Near the bottom left is a triangular swallow-tailed red flag with a gold-colored standing figure motif and a pole with a small gold finial. The color palette includes dark pink, red, off-white, gold/yellow, blue, gray, and tan paper tones, with pencil or ink outlines and subtle shading. The composition is divided into panels and shows areas of pencil sketches, watercolor washes, and slight paper discoloration.
