Around her are rocky ground and vegetation, with a few shells and rounded stones scattered near her feet; behind her on one side are block-like stone structures and on the other a distant shoreline with a small boat and low hills. In the upper corner a decorative heraldic cartouche with ornate scrollwork and a perched bird appears. The image is rendered in black ink on a light, aged paper with areas of tan discoloration.
