Behind them is a large, gnarled tree with twisted branches and foliage, and at their feet lies a large, scaly creature resembling a serpentine or aquatic beast with a visible head and textured body. The ground around them is rocky with scattered stones and shells, and a small cluster of architectural forms resembling a distant town or settlement appears along the horizon. The image is rendered in tones of black, gray, and off-white with fine line work and crosshatching.
