Subject: Anna Jagiellon 1523–1596. 16th-century style, portrait / women's portrait. Drawing on tracing paper with the entire surface attached to paper of similar dimensions, glued to another slightly larger paper, which was then glued with the upper edge to cardboard. Date of drawing: circa 1830–1884. Medium: drawing. Dimensions — drawing: height 21.8 cm, width 17.3 cm; support: height 22.5 cm, width 18.0 cm; cardboard: height 35.8 cm, width 26.1 cm., A seated woman is shown from the waist up against a muted green background, wearing a dark dress with small gold square decorations and elaborate gold and white trim down the front and on the sleeves; she has pale skin, light hair styled close to the head and covered by a decorative dark cap with gold accents, and a high ornate gold collar with a pendant; her hands rest on a light-colored surface with delicate lace cuffs visible, and the image includes tones of beige, brown, black, gold, white, pale pink, and muted green.
