Obverse: Polish Eagle; in rim between pearly borders inscription: .IGIS.AVG.REX.PO.MAG.DVX.LI. Reverse: Lithuanian Pogon mounted knight; below year 1562; in rim between pearly borders inscription divided by the Axe coat of arms: .MONETA...NI - DVCAT.LITV. Features coats of arms of the Jagiellon dynasty; motif includes eagles and Pogon Lithuanian coat of arms. Minted in Vilnius, Grand Duchy of Lithuania., A round metallic object with a weathered silver-gray surface, showing a raised design of a stylized bird with outstretched wings in the center, surrounded by a decorative circular border and a ring of raised markings along the edge; the metal shows varied tones of gray with some darker areas and subtle highlights.
