Sestertius, posthumous issue for Faustina the Elder 98–141; Roman empress 138–141, issued under Antoninus Pius 86–161; Roman emperor 138–161. Obverse: Bust of Faustina I in drapery facing right, DIVA FAVSTINA around. Reverse: Juno in veil and diadem standing left, holding a patera in her outstretched right hand and a long scepter in her left; inscription IV–NO all around, in SC fields. After 141, Roman Empire; Rome mint. Coin, diameter 32.0–34.0 mm, weight 21.55 g, axis 0°., A round, worn object with an uneven edge showing a chipped section at the top, featuring a raised, elongated human-like figure in the center with a long vertical element beside it; the surface is rough and pitted with irregular texture and small areas of mottling. The predominant colors are dark brown and black with spots of green patina and hints of lighter brown along worn edges; there are faint, shallow raised shapes around the right side and along the perimeter.
