Providentia stands upright, head turned left, holding a baton in her right hand and, with her left hand leaning against a column, a cornucopia; at her feet on the left a sphere; pearl surround. 223 CE, Roman Empire; Rome. Coin sestertius: diameter approx. 28.5–29.0 mm, weight 19.60 g., A round, worn coin with a brown, aged surface showing a raised profile of a person's head facing right, a laurel or band across the hair, an uneven rim, and some small nicks and surface irregularities; the background around the coin is white, and the visible colors are shades of brown with slightly darker and lighter brown areas.
