Reverse: Pax seated on a throne facing left, olive branch in right hand, scepter in left hand; pearl border; inscription PONTIFMAXTRPI ICOSPP and in exergue SC. Date: 223. Roman Empire 27 BC–476, Rome. Coin sestertius; diameter ~31.0–31.5 mm; weight 23.50 g., A circular, worn coin with an irregular edge showing a seated human figure in relief at the center, the figure facing slightly to the right and holding a long staff or spear; the surface shows raised and recessed sculpted details and areas of wear and corrosion. The coin displays dark brown and black tones overall with patches of green and hints of lighter brown where the metal is exposed. The background around the coin is white.
