Bust of Alexander Severus with laurel wreath and paludamentum facing right; pearl rim. Reverse: PM TRPII COSPP. Jupiter naked in a cloak stands facing left, holding a thunderbolt in his right hand and a long scepter in his left; pearl rim. Date: 223. Origin: Rome, Roman Empire 27 BC–476. Coin; diameter 17.5–19.0 mm; weight 1.80 g., A round metallic coin with a worn surface showing a raised profile of a person facing right, surrounded by a raised border and a ring of embossed markings around the edge; the coin displays shades of gray and silver with areas of darker patina and hints of brownish and greenish discoloration.
