Denarius, Elagabalus 204–222; Roman emperor 218–222. Obverse: IVLIA MAESA AVG — draped bust of Julia Maesa facing right, pearl rim. Reverse: PVDICITIA — veiled Pudicitia seated on a throne facing left, raising the hem of her veil with her right hand and holding a scepter in her left, pearl rim. Inscription dates c. 218–223. Roman Empire; mint: Rome. Coin; diameter ~17.5–18.5 mm; weight 3.30 g. Julia Maesa ca. 160–224; Augusta 218–224. Iconography: Julia Maesa; Pudicitia personification, seated Pudicitia., A round, worn metal coin with a dark gray surface and areas of lighter gray wear, showing a raised central figure seated on a structure; the figure and surrounding shapes are rendered in low relief and appear weathered. The coin edge is irregular with small chips and a thin band of lighter metal along parts of the rim. There are faint impressions of decorative elements around the central figure and subtle reddish-brown spots of discoloration on parts of the surface. The background of the image is plain white.
