Albrecht Hohenzollern Prince of Prussia; 1490–1568 — iconography: trefoils, male busts in armour. Obverse: male bust in armour in profile turned right; short hair, long pointed beard with sideburns. In the rim an inscription beginning with a trefoil -ALBER DG MAR BRAN DVX PRVSS, pearl border, plant motifs between the words. Reverse: in the pearl border an inscription in six lines -III-/.GROSS:AR:/.TRIPLEX./.ALBER:DVC./.PRVSSIE./-1544-. The denomination and date are between trefoil marks. 1544. Ducal Prussia 1525–1701, Königsberg mint. Coin; diameter 21.0 mm; weight 2.59 g; axis 200°., A round metallic coin with a raised profile of a bearded man wearing a high, decorated collar, rendered in detailed engraving; the man faces right and has short textured hair and a long beard. The coin surface is silver-gray with darker recessed areas creating contrast. Around the rim is a raised border with repeating decorative elements. The overall background is white.
