Buddhist manuscript — Penitential Text Tib. sDig bshags gser gyi zhes bya ba bzhugs+o, unknown creator scribe-copyist, Tibetan Buddhist art, Himalayan culture. Book in Tibetan pecha style, manuscript in student's script. Leaf numbering 2–22 verso, first recto, last two unnumbered. Handwritten notes folio 24 recto and verso. 19th century, Tibet. Manuscript. Width 24.0 cm, height 8.1 cm., A horizontal image of an old, open manuscript page showing two facing leaves with dense handwritten dark ink script arranged in horizontal lines separated by a visible fold; the paper appears aged and worn with uneven edges, small creases, and a few tiny holes along the fold. The ink is predominantly black or very dark brown against a yellowed, tan to beige paper background, with some areas of darker discoloration near the edges. A narrow dark border surrounds the manuscript, and there are subtle brownish stains and smudges across the surface. The top edge shows layered, slightly warped paper and the lower margin has a faint darker shadow. There are small decorative flourishes and vertical rule lines in the left margins rendered in the same dark ink.
