A set of two Buddhist texts — Collected Instructions on Refuge in the Three Jewels Tib. 'dri nang chos spyod mdor bsus dang / skyabs 'gro'i lo rgyus cung Tad go bter bkod pa bzhugs so and Tib. skyabs 'gro'i lo rgyus mdor bsdus bzhugs swo. Unknown creator; possible personal entries/graphic artist. Book in the Tibetan pecha style; xylographic print in the student script dbu can. Two texts: first 13 folios leaf numbering 2–13 recto, first verso; second 11 folios incomplete, leaf numbering 2–11 recto, first verso. Underlining in red ink on folio 1 verso; 2 recto and verso; 3 recto and verso; 7 verso; 8 recto; 11 recto; 13 recto; 14 verso. 19th century, Tibet. Graphics. Width 27.5 cm; height 8.0 cm., A rectangular, open book or manuscript displayed flat with two horizontal pages, each page containing a framed block of handwritten script set against an off-white, aged paper. The script appears in dark ink and fills the framed areas in neat horizontal lines, with decorative vertical margin lines at the edges of the blocks. The paper shows slight creases and worn edges, and there is a narrow horizontal fold between the two pages. The background around the book is dark, and the visible colors are off-white or beige for the paper, dark gray to black for the ink and framing lines, and a deep charcoal for the surrounding area.
