The original prayer text by master Raga Asja Tib. ra ga a syas, the first tulku of the Karma Chagme Tib. kar ma chags med reincarnation lineage, dates from the 17th century. 19th century, Tibet, graphic, height 30.5 cm, width 8.6 cm, A rectangular, horizontally oriented sheet with a dark border around the edges shows two stacked rectangular panels filled with hand-drawn horizontal lines of script; the sheet is an aged off-white or yellowed paper with darker brownish stains and smudges, and the script appears in a faded gray-black ink. The top and bottom panels are each framed by thin double-line borders and contain several dense rows of evenly spaced handwritten characters; there are faint creases and folds running horizontally across the center where the paper may have been folded, and light wear and small dark spots along the outer margins. The corners of the sheet are slightly rounded and worn, with a few darker scuffed areas, and the overall surface shows subtle variations in tone from pale cream to warm beige with scattered grayish smudging.
