Design: auspicious treasures—pine trees, eight auspicious signs, scrolls, jewels, hats, coats, pouches; overall pattern on an irregular fine-grained grid with small plant motifs flower rosettes, bamboo and small Buddhist motifs., A rectangular sheet with an intricate cutout pattern fills the lower portion of the image, showing a dense web of irregular black lines forming mosaic-like cells and negative spaces that reveal a white background; within the cutout area are several stylized bird shapes, floral motifs, curved fan-like elements, and various organic shapes all rendered in black, while the top and side borders of the image are solid dark brown to black with a textured, slightly uneven surface.
