Zun-type vase, Chinese, 19th century Qing dynasty, 1644–1911, ceremonial/ritual vessel with taotie iconography, height 33.0 cm, diameter 23.8 cm., A tall, hourglass-shaped metal object with a flared top and a round base sits against a plain light gray background, its surface showing a weathered patina in shades of dark bronze, greenish-gray, and muted brown; the body is covered with a pattern of several small metal rings attached in rows, and a few rings hang from the rim of the top; the object casts a soft reflection on the glossy surface beneath it.
