Bowl, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century; colored porcelain vessel with plant and floral ornaments including lotuses and lotus tendril motif, floral motifs on the reverse of the rim; diameter 6.8 cm., A small ceramic bowl sits on a reflective surface against a neutral gray background, showing a rounded rim and a short foot; the bowl is predominantly white with decorative motifs in blue and purple, accented with green, yellow, red, and black, and the rim and foot edges have a thin gold or brass-colored band; the exterior displays a repeating floral or scroll-like pattern in deep blue and purple with sinuous outlines and small accent swirls in red and yellow, and there is a green band near the foot.
