Bowl with a lid, attributed to an, Qing dynasty Tongzhi, 1862–1874, Chinese, colored porcelain. Decoration includes loosely placed bats and swastikas in the background and genre scenes. Vessel, height 8.6 cm, diameter 10.3 cm., Two small bowls rest on a reflective surface, showing their undersides. The bowls are primarily orange with white oval panels painted with scenes of people and foliage in colors including green, pink, purple, and blue. There are gold decorative motifs and small dark line details on the orange areas. The reflective surface beneath them creates mirror images of the bowls. The background is gray.
