Vase, Cloisonné enamel on copper with brass rims at the spout and foot. Decoration: large roses and lilies, small flowers, two birds and a butterfly on a blue background kachôga. Short, slightly flared neck. Japanese, Meiji period ca. 1905–1908. Vessel. Height 30.8 cm; diameter 10.6 cm., A tall vase with a glossy sky-blue body and a narrow neck rimmed in a reddish-brown band decorated with small floral motifs, featuring a painted scene of a green and black bird in flight above a cluster of dark green leaves and pale pink peony-like blossoms with reddish stems; the interior of the rim shows a darker bluish tone, and the base edge repeats the reddish-brown band with small floral accents, all shown against a neutral gray background with a subtle reflection beneath the vase.
