Materials: thinly silvered, repoussé, chiseled and bonded copper sheet; glass pane; clay figurine originally probably silver-plated. Date: 19th century . Place of origin: Tibet . Dimensions: height 5.5 cm; width 4 cm., A small ornate metal box with a domed top and arched front sits against a neutral gray background; the box is primarily silver in color with areas of aged brass or gold tones, and features an embossed floral and leaf pattern surrounding a recessed arched window that reveals a small painted element inside with muted greens, reds, and brownish tones; the sides show metal straps and hinges with a slightly tarnished appearance, and the base rests on the flat surface casting a soft shadow.
