Foot, neck and cap decorated with plant ornament powdered background. 19th century, China, vessel; height 27.3 cm, width 11.5 cm, depth 8.3 cm., A tall rectangular ornate container with a stepped base and a tiered lid topped by a small sculpted figure, rendered in metallic silver tones with areas of muted gold and pale green; the sides show decorative panels with floral and foliate motifs and scrolling patterns in silver and gold, and the lid and base carry complementary engraved ornamentation in silver; the overall colors visible are silver, gold, pale green, and neutral gray.
