Teapot with a profiled foot and neck, with a rectangular lid topped with a plastic figurine of a lion. Decorated with panels filled with a motif of a blossoming plum tree and birds, bordered with plant twigs the motif in the panels is engraved and set with metal. Foot, neck and cap decorated with plant ornament powdered background. 19th century, China; vessel. Height 27.3 cm, width 11.5 cm, depth 8.3 cm, A tall rectangular decorative container with a stepped square base and a multi-tiered lid topped by a small sculpted figure, shown against a pale gray background; the object is primarily silver in color with areas of darker metallic patina and some golden brown accents, featuring ornate engraved floral and foliate patterns across its faces and base; each side panel is framed with intricate scrolling borders and contains a central inset panel showing a stylized scene of a bird among branches and blossoms in contrasting darker tones; the lid and tiers carry repeating decorative motifs and punched dot textures, and the small figure on top is a darker brownish metal that contrasts with the lighter silver surface.
