Cylinder, craft, Tibetan, inscriptions, vajras, applied copper sheet, 19th century, Mongolia, Tibet, varia, length 7.3 cm, diameter 6.0 cm, A cylindrical metal vessel with decorative raised bands and panels sits against a light gray background. The vessel shows a mix of metallic colors including brass yellow, coppery pink, and hints of greenish patina. The top edge is slightly uneven and darker brass in color, followed by a raised coppery band with repeating arched motifs. Below that is a broader section with alternating square raised panels and flat vertical strips, the panels in coppery pink and the strips showing brass yellow with areas of greenish discoloration. A narrow decorative band with a geometric pattern separates this from a lower coppery band featuring floral or foliate relief motifs, and the base returns to a brass yellow tone with wear and slight tarnish. The vessel rests on a reflective surface that produces a soft mirror image of the lower part.
