The vase has a bulbous upper body tapering to a narrower base and is predominantly white with extensive blue decorative borders framing painted scenes. Within the framed panels are figurative scenes showing a group of people in traditional dress seated and standing near architectural elements and landscape features, rendered in muted colors including pink, orange, green, brown, and light purple. Ornamental floral and scrolling motifs in blue, gold, and pink surround the scenes, and there are areas of gilt highlighting on the vase and the lid.
