Shoulders with two gilded bronze winged dragon figurines and a snake figurine. Underglaze engraved belly decoration with transparent greenish glaze showing plant-floral tendrils. 19th century, China. Vessel, height 45.7 cm., A pale celadon vase with a subtle swirling embossed pattern sits on an ornate gilded metal stand; the vase has a rounded body that tapers toward the base and a wide neck fitted with a decorative metal collar, and a pair of gilded dragon-shaped handles with textured wings and sinuous bodies wrap around the upper portion of the vase, showing metallic gold highlights against the pale green-white ceramic, with additional gold tones on the collar and stand, and a neutral gray background.
