Decorated with a view of fishermen on the seashore among hills and coastal trees; two human figures: one with a fishing rod and the other with a net. Signature, on the bottom. Ca. 1750–1800, Arita, Japan. Vessel height 6.3 cm, diameter 8.3 cm., A small ceramic cup sits centered against a smooth gray background, showing a pale off-white body with delicate blue-painted motifs on its exterior; the cup has a slightly flared rim, a rounded bowl shape narrowing to a short foot, and faint reflections on the surface beneath it.
