Bowl, ; vessel, ceramic, decorative; Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 18th–19th century; Chinese; purple glaze with celadon spots; manganese and copper, glaze; height 6.7 cm, diameter 18.1 cm., A shallow round bowl with a low foot, shown against a neutral gray background, has a predominantly deep purple exterior and interior with irregular patches of bright turquoise-blue and hints of turquoise-green. The rim shows variations of purple and lighter mauve, and the foot has bands of purple and pale off-white. The surface displays subtle gloss and tiny speckled textures, and a soft reflection of the bowl appears on the flat surface beneath it.
