Teapot, Tibetan, 19th century. Jug with a lid on a chain; dragon-shaped handle, spout probably in the shape of a makara. Decorated with dragons, makaras, and lotuses. Repoussé copper sheet, tin-plated inside, bronze-plated outside, patinated; silver-plated in sections. Repoussé spout and handle in low relief, with inlaid eyes and copper rivets. Cover topped with a lotus bud. Lhasa. Vessel; height 25.5 cm, width 31.0 cm, diameter 19.3 cm, weight 0.85 kg., A metal pitcher with a bulbous body and a rounded lid sits against a plain light gray background; the pitcher is primarily golden in color with areas of darker patina and reflective highlights, and it features ornate sculpted elements in matching gold and silvery tones on the spout and handle that resemble stylized animal heads and flowing decorative motifs, with a small chain visible near the lid connecting to the handle.
