Ritual vessel, Burmese, 19th/20th century. Tray with a fluted surface showing a visible bamboo weaving pattern, made of bamboo covered with black lacquer on the bottom. Profiled legs covered with red lacquer. Used in religious rites. Overall good condition; local abrasions and cracks in the lacquer layers, many local cracks and lacquer losses on the bottom. Height 15.5 cm; diameter 44.5 cm., A low round wooden stand with a wide shallow top and short legs is shown from the front; the top rim and underside are dark black with a textured pattern, while the upper surface and legs are reddish-brown with visible worn and chipped areas; the background is a smooth gray and the stand casts a faint reflection on the surface below; the wood shows uneven surfaces, rough edges, and areas where the black and reddish-brown finishes overlap.
