Ritual vessel, Burmese, 19th/20th century. Tray with a fluted surface showing a visible bamboo weaving pattern, made of bamboo covered with black lacquer on the bottom; profiled legs covered with red lacquer. Overall good condition; local abrasions and cracks in the lacquer layers, many local cracks and lacquer losses on the bottom. Height 15.5 cm, diameter 44.5 cm., A shallow round dish with a glossy reddish-brown interior and rim sits on a low, carved stand; the dish has a dark, nearly black outer edge with textured detailing, and the stand beneath is painted in a weathered reddish color with visible wear and rough carved legs.
