Light cream white matte glaze covered with fine cracklework. 19th century, Japan, Edo 1603–1868. Ceramics; cracklework decoration; bottles. Vessel. Height 24.1 cm, diameter 8.6 cm, weight 0.65 kg., A tall, narrow-necked ceramic vase with a flared rim stands on a dark round base; the vase surface is a pale off-white or cream with a fine crackle pattern and a few small darker specks and slight discolorations, and the background is a uniform mid-gray.
