Yixing clay storage vessel; maker, red-brown stoneware with plastic, impressed decoration; decorated with peonies; Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century; Yixing style; Chinese; vessel; height 22.4 cm, width 17.7 cm, depth 15.7 cm, weight 1.15 kg., A hexagonal ceramic vessel with a short cylindrical neck, shown against a pale gray background. The vessel is predominantly reddish-brown with lighter beige accents along the edges of its panels. Each of the visible vertical panels features raised floral reliefs with petals and leaves, rendered in the same reddish-brown and lighter beige tones. The top surface around the neck shows a subtle decorative band in the reddish-brown color. The base has small notches and rests on a reflective surface that mirrors the colors and shapes faintly.
