Belt clasp, Chinese, dragons iconography, dragon with pearl, Qing 1644–1911. Head in the shape of a two-horned dragon's head with an open mouth; stem - a dragon playing with a flaming pearl. Dark milky jadeite, translucent with inclusions dirty green. Head and stem carved in full relief. 19th century, China. Belt buckle; height 3.1 cm, width 11.6 cm, depth 2.3 cm., A pale, translucent carved object rests on a smooth surface, appearing to be made of a light greenish-white material; the carving features rounded, bulbous forms and a stylized head with curved ears and a textured mane at one end, a spherical element near the middle, and a tapered, ridged tail-like end at the opposite side. The object casts a soft shadow on the surface beneath it. The background transitions from a darker gray at the top to a lighter gray toward the bottom, and the surface under the object is off-white.
