Belt buckle; height 2.8 cm, width 12.0 cm, depth 2.9 cm. Cultural context: Chinese, Qing 1644–1911. Subject/ornamentation: lizards, dragons; men's clothing/ornaments., A carved pale stone object with a smooth, slightly yellowed surface shaped into a long, low form; one end features a stylized animal head with an open mouth and curved ear-like elements, and the body rises into a sinuous, looping creature with rounded limbs and a curled tail resting along the top; the base is flat with a small circular support underneath, and the piece shows subtle speckles and veins in tones of white, cream, beige, and faint yellow against a neutral gray background.
