Censer on base, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 18th century. Bronze censer with lion fo iconography and handles; ritual/ceremonial vessel. Wooden carved quadrangular base. Dimensions: censer height 2.2 cm, width 12.3 cm, length 9.7 cm; base height 1.8 cm, width 12.2 cm, length 9.6 cm., A square metal vessel with a worn gold and brown surface sits on a dark reddish-brown wooden stand; the vessel shows patches where the gold finish is flaking, and a metallic lion head ornament with a short pendant is affixed to the front, flanked by decorative circular elements on either side.
