Decoration: dragons and hôô phoenix birds on the cover; various animals tigers, birds, fish, phoenixes on the body; dragon with a pearl, clouds, sea waves, geometric patterns, meander ornament. Cover with removable knob. 18th century, China. Dimensions: height 22.0 cm, width 21.0 cm, depth 17.7 cm., A decorative metal vessel with a lid sits against a plain light gray background, showing a combination of dark bronze and bright gold tones; the lid has openwork with a few sculpted figures on top and a gold finial, the body of the vessel is rounded with raised sculptural motifs in gold and dark bronze, a few ring handles hang from sculpted animal head mounts on the sides, the vessel rests on a tiered pedestal base that echoes the dark bronze and gold color palette and casts a soft reflection on the shiny surface beneath.
