Vase on base. Chinese, Qing 1644–1911. 17th–18th century. Cast in bronze with inlaid cold gold, dusting over lacquer; varnished bronze with full-plastic relief and engraved decoration. Decorated on the shoulders with six buttons with rosettes. Lion iconography. On a high foot. Round base with bulging side decorated with openwork plant ornament, on four short legs one missing. Vessel vase: height 26 cm, diameter 16.5 cm. Base: height 5.3 cm, diameter 13.1 cm., signature antidated., A scene showing a golden-brown decorative vessel lying on its side beside a dark wooden stand, with both objects resting on a reflective surface and set against a pale gray background. The vessel displays irregular gold-colored leaf-like patterns on a warm brown base and has a rounded shape with a slightly flared rim; a small sculpted element in darker brown is visible near its top. The wooden stand is low, circular, and dark brown to nearly black, with carved openwork along its sides and a slightly raised rim, and both objects cast subtle reflections on the glossy surface.
