Bell linzhong, from Ignacy Jan Paderewski 1860–1941; Chinese; Qing dynasty 1644–1911, Daoguang period 1821–1850; 1825; bronze musical instrument idiophone/percussion; used in music and religious rites; decorated with ideograms and meander ornament; height 29.0 cm, width 20.0 cm, depth 17.0 cm., A metal bell-like object sits against a pale background, with a stepped rectangular handle on top showing a patterned surface and open rectangular cutouts; the body below is tapered and dark bronze in color with areas of lighter brown and greenish patina, and the upper section has a few raised bosses arranged in rows on panels separated by vertical bands; the lower section is smoother with a rounded decorative element near its base that shares the same bronze and greenish tones.
