Decoration/iconography: lions, Immortals, fo, lingzhi; Taoist associations. Materials and style: Chinese art, Qing style., A dark metallic tripod vessel with a rounded body and a removable domed lid topped by a sculpted animal figure, all in shades of dark brown and black with subtle worn highlights; the body rests on three short legs and is decorated in low relief with carved human figures, stylized clouds, and organic forms; the lid features pierced details and a curled tail on the animal finial; the surface shows areas of patina and lighter brown wear against an overall matte dark finish, set against a plain light gray background with a soft reflection beneath the object.
