Vase with two handles, Chinese, Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 19th century. Cloisonné and champlevé enamel vessel decorated with cicadas and dragons. Height 31 cm; diameter 23.8 cm., A rounded vase with a wide flared neck and a narrow foot sits against a light background, its surface predominantly dark brown with areas of worn sheen. A decorative band near the shoulder and another around the foot feature ornate enamel patterns in turquoise, pale green, red, blue, and gold, forming repeating vertical panels that extend down the body. The vase has a pair of short handles on opposite sides shaped like stylized animal heads in the same dark brown material. The overall appearance combines the deep brown base color with bright accents of turquoise, pale green, red, blue, and gold in intricate curving designs.
