Vase, gift; Chinese, Qing dynasty Xianfeng, 1851–1861; cloisonné enamel. The vase is set on a tall, conical foot flaring downwards, terminating in a metal ring, decorated with a lotus tendril. The short, wide neck is topped with a metal ring below which is a border composed of ruyi heads. The belly and neck are decorated with an all-around composition of flowers and plum branches against a Chinese meander background on a red ground. 1st half of the 19th century; vessel. Height 25.1 cm; diameter 16.5 cm; weight 1.5 kg., A rounded decorative vase photographed against a neutral gray background, predominantly red with a repeating textured pattern across its body, featuring floral motifs with a few flowers in white, pale yellow, light blue, and pale pink, each with dark blue central accents, and green leaves and stems. The rim and base have metallic gold bands, and the base area includes ornate scrolling and floral designs in pale green, white, blue, and gold. There is also a small dark feathered bird motif among the flowers with black and brown tones.
