Vase, ; Chinese; Qing dynasty Xianfeng, 1851–1861; cloisonné enamel; subject: flowers, floral pattern, plum branches and meander ornament; description: set on a tall conical foot flaring downwards and terminating in a metal ring, foot decorated with a lotus tendril; short wide neck topped with a metal ring, below which is a border of ruyi-heads; belly and neck decorated with an all-around composition of flowers and plum branches against a red Chinese meander background; date: 1st half of the 19th century; origin: China; vessel; height 25.1 cm, diameter 16.5 cm, weight 1.5 kg., A rounded vase with a flared neck and foot, predominantly red in color, decorated with a pattern of green leaves and stems and flowers in shades of white, pale yellow, blue, and green, with touches of dark blue and gold outlining and accents; the rim and base edges have a metallic gold band, and the foot features a decorative border with scrolling motifs in light green, blue, and white against the red ground; the body shows a subtle geometric background pattern in a darker red tone beneath the floral decoration.
