Vase, cloisonné enamel; Chinese, Qing dynasty 2nd half of the 18th century. Vessel with a long, wide neck, supported on a separate ring-shaped foot, with a flattened spherical belly. Main decoration: dense, multi-colored lotus tendril surrounding the entire surface. Foot decorated with an ornamental band of small flowers and leaves. Upper edge of the neck, at the rim, has a border formed of ruyi-heads. Neck ends with a thick, ungilded metal ring. Height 37.8 cm; diameter 15.5 cm., A tall rounded vase with a narrow neck and wide bulbous base, covered all over in an intricate floral and foliate pattern in vivid colors against a turquoise blue background; the decoration includes a group of stylized flowers and swirling leaves in red, green, yellow, white, purple, navy blue, and pink, with fine dark outlines and small ornamental motifs around the rim and foot; the rim and the foot edges appear to be metallic brown, and the overall surface has a smooth, glossy finish.
