Vase - moon bottle pilgrim bottle with a flattened belly, supported by a separate oval high foot, with a short neck resembling a garlic bulb suantoukou type. Decoration on one side: multicolored composition depicting a chrysanthemum growing on a coastal rock, above which a dragonfly and a grasshopper hover. Other side: composition showing lilies irises on a rock above the water, with a butterfly and a grasshopper; small colorful flowers growing on the shore visible in both representations. Motif derives from Chinese flowers and birds scroll painting. A Chinese meander forms the background for both compositions. Foot, side edges, and neck filled with a lotus tendril; palette dominated by red, white, green, yellow, and navy blue. Elements without enamel are gilded; visible abrasions of the gilding and firing-related technological defects. Cloisonné enamel. Qing dynasty 1644–1911, 2nd half 18th century. Chinese. Vessel. Height 29.8 cm; width 21.1 cm., A tall vase with a rounded shoulder and narrow neck covered in a vivid blue background decorated with ornate floral motifs in white, red, green, yellow, and purple, with scrolling vine patterns in green and dark blue and gold-colored borders along the edges, visible areas of bronze or brass rim at the top and down the sides, and a smooth gray backdrop behind the vase.
