Vase - moon bottle pilgrim bottle with a flattened belly, supported by a separate oval high foot, with a short neck resembling a garlic bulb suantoukou type. Decoration on one side: a multicolored composition depicting a chrysanthemum flower growing on a coastal rock, above which a dragonfly and a grasshopper hover. The other side shows lilies irises on a rock above the water, with a butterfly and a grasshopper above them. Small colorful flowers growing on the shore appear in both representations. Both compositions use the flowers and birds motif known from Chinese scroll painting. A Chinese meander forms the background for both compositions. The foot, side edges, and neck are filled with a lotus tendril pattern. Colors dominated by red, white, green, yellow, and navy blue; elements without enamel decoration are gilded. Visible abrasions of the gilding and technological firing defects. Cloisonné enamel. Qing dynasty Qing style, 2nd half 18th century, China. Height 29.8 cm, width 21.1 cm., A narrow, elongated vase with a bulbous neck and flattened body decorated all over in a bright blue background with ornate floral and foliate patterns; the surface shows stylized flowers in white, red, green, yellow, and touches of purple and dark blue, outlined with thin dark lines, and scrolling green vines and curving motifs in red and blue; vertical bronze or gold bands run along the sides separating panels, and the rim and foot have a metallic bronze or gold edge; the overall palette prominently includes blue, white, red, green, yellow, bronze, and dark blue on a gray neutral backdrop.
