Box with lid, cloisonné enamel, Qing dynasty, Qianlong period, 18th century, China. Large cylindrical-spheroidal box supported on a separate annular foot, with a slightly flattened lid. Surface covered by a plant tendril encircling the entire container and lid, dominated by chrysanthemums and leaves in various stylistic forms against a turquoise background. Upper edge of the storage section and lower edge of the cover decorated with a border of ruyi-head motifs in white and red; a blue three-petal pattern completes the decoration. Foot decorated with a band of colorful flowers and leafy twigs. Interior of the box and inner surface of the foot filled with uniform turquoise enamel. Unglazed edges of the storage section, cover, and foot are gilded. Height 14.5 cm; diameter 34.5 cm., A round decorative object with an intricate floral pattern covering its surface, set against a solid neutral background; the pattern features a dominant blue field with several stylized flowers and leaves in colors including white, green, yellow, brown, black, and touches of darker blue, arranged in a dense, repeating design with curving vine-like elements and petals radiating from central motifs.
